The College Today

  • The College's popularity with prospective students grows each year. In 2005-2006, Mount Aloysius College enrolled the largest student body in its history with 1,147 full-time, 353 part-time undergraduates and 57 graduate students;
  • Mount Aloysius College's faculty continues to excel in broadening and deepening the academic curriculum. A 14:1 college-wide student to faculty ratio and an average class size of 18 attests to this commitment;
  • Mount Aloysius has a wide array of co-curricular programs that extend students' learning experiences far beyond the classroom. In addition to their academic pursuits, students compete in 11 varsity sports at the NCAA Division III level and participate in more than 100 student clubs and organizations.
  • In recent years the campus has seen astonishing growth and improvements. Cosgrave Student Center, Misciagna Residence Hall, the campus gateway and loop road, new parking facilities, Whalley Plaza, the Pedestrian Mall, and the third floor of the Main Administration Building are all either new or completely remodeled facilities.
  • Concurrently with the facilities improvements, the College has expanded its information technology resources. Through dynamic investment in Smart classrooms, upgraded computer and distance learning labs, computer assisted simulators and robotics for the health sciences, and a wireless community, our faculty and students are able to bring the best technological learning tools into the classroom.
