“There is nothing quite as fulfilling as leaving a legacy of opportunity for future generations. Our donors have shown a wonderful spirit of generosity.”
Mr. John H. Anderson
Vice President for Institutional Advancement
We welcome your participation in The Campaign for Mount Aloysius College, at the giving level and for the need most meaningful to you. Your gift may take several forms:
Cash is often the most convenient form of giving. Cash gifts are fully tax deductible for federal income tax purposes provided deductions are itemized. Cash gifts may be made in the form of checks or by credit card. Pledges enable a donor to plan a giving program that is both convenient and tax-wise. A pledge may also enable a donor to consider a more significant gift than would otherwise be possible.
You may leverage your own gift if your employer offers a matching gift program. You will be recognized for the total amount, and your employer will also receive recognition.
Securities may be made as outright gifts or as a payment on a pledge. There can be strong tax advantages particularly in making gifts of appreciated securities. The staff of the Office of Institutional Advancement can assist you in planning and executing these gifts.
Often life insurance policies outlive the reasons for their original purchase. Perhaps the children have grown and completed their education, or retirement plans are adequately funded. In both cases, and others like them, policies may be paid up and hold significant cash value. Like other gifts, these funds can be used to assist generations of future students while providing certain tax benefits to you now.
You may provide for Mount Aloysius College in your will and thus assure a legacy that lasts beyond your lifetime. The proceeds can be directed into a scholarship or other endowment to provide for the College and its students after you have gone. Charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts can provide you with immediate tax-advantaged income and also benefit Mount Aloysius later in the same ways.
