Strengthening the College's Endowment Fund | $4,000,000 |
To ensure the Mount Aloysius College "experience" for future generations of young men and women, the College must continue to build an endowment that provides a secure and consistent financial base as the institution moves into the 21st century. An endowment is an invested sum of money where earnings are used annually to underwrite scholarships, scientific equipment, computer technology, professional faculty development, student projects, and to fund initiatives where the need is greatest. Endowing a scholarship or programmatic initiative provides a perpetual gift for the College. The principal of the fund forever remains intact and allows for growth over time, thus maintaining the same purchasing power and providing even greater resources.
A substantial increase in the endowment is necessary to retain and continue to attract academically talented and deserving students to Mount Aloysius College. A college education is a major commitment in terms of time and financial resources. More than 90 percent of our student body receives some form of financial aid. Endowed scholarship support provides students an opportunity to receive a high-quality education from Mount Aloysius College. Endowed scholarships change lives.
