The demand for scientific and computer technology continues to challenge the ability of the College to fund equipment needed to prepare students entering the working world in the 21st century. While Mount Aloysius College has devoted considerable resources through its normal operating budget to information technology in recent years, advances in speed, capacity and richness of content require an ever-increasing investment. Constant changes in technology and computer software require the College to continually update existing computer facilities and software in order to ensure that students are well prepared for their chosen profession or graduate school. More and more courses require the use of computers, and the changing job market has required many academic departments to prepare their students to use new technological methodology. “Staying ahead of the curve” requires the infusion of significant technological resources.
